Karate1 Salzburg – Karate1 Premier League celebrates a superb final

With more than 500 competitors from 46 countries the Karate1 Salzburg, held on November, 12&13, 2011, successfully finalized the first season of Karate1 Premier League and presented a real Karate festival to all Karate fans. Gripping fights, breathtaking finals and a perfect organisation once more demonstrated the professionalism and the overwhelming success of this new world class Karate league.

As Karate1 Salzburg was the final event of the Karate1 season of 2011 and in many categories the Grand winners weren’t certain after two of three Karate1 events most of the favorites came to seize the chance to become a Karate1 Grand winner. For that reason the spectators could again gaze at World and Continental champions as well as at talented rookies challenging the top athletes of the world.

After an impressive weekend, demonstrating the full range of world class Karate the Grand Winners of each Karate1 category were honoured under the auspices of Mr. Antonio Espinos, President of the World Karate Federation, and Mr. George Yerolimpos, WKF Secretary General, and received their price money, awarded by the WKF.

With Karate1 Salzburg the first season of Karate1 Premier League has finally come to an end while the Karate1 season of 2012 is already set up with some exciting changes:

– 7 instead of 3 Karate1 Premier League events taking place in Paris, Milan, Jakarta, Istanbul, Frankfurt, Zurich and Salzburg,

– Additional Karate1 World Cup events taking place all around the world, also offering ranking points for the Karate1 Ranking List.

So Karate1 is getting even bigger and better and we are looking forward to a great new Karate1 season in 2012!
